Grow Shop β€” Shipping Policy

We offer nationwide door-to-door delivery across South Africa, using a range of trusted courier partners. Our preferred couriers are The Courier Guy, Fastway,and Skypoint, and we also use PUDO locker services for faster, more convenient deliveries.

Most orders are dispatched within 1–3 working days. Because grow shop equipment ranges from small nutrients and accessories through to full tent kits, lights, and hydroponic systems, please read this policy carefully before ordering β€” getting the right shipping option at checkout avoids delays.


How Grow Shop Shipping Works

Your shipping cost depends on what you're ordering and how much it weighs.

Standard shipping applies to orders that are under 2kg and not fragile, large, or bulky β€” typically nutrients, small accessories, pH pens, and similar items.

Special Handling applies if your order weighs over 2kg or contains fragile, large, or bulky equipment β€” regardless of weight. This covers the majority of grow hardware: tents, lights, fans, filters, hydroponic systems, and more.

Items requiring Special Handling are clearly noted in the product description on the product page. If you're building out a full setup and ordering multiple items, your order will almost certainly fall into Special Handling.


Standard Shipping Rates

For orders under 2kg containing no fragile, large, or bulky items:

Major cities include areas close to Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, and East London.

Outlying areas are a fair distance from a major town or city β€” places like Kimberley, Piet Retief, or Paarl. Not sure which applies to you? Contact us before ordering.

Townships, farms, and plots are charged a higher rate, as these locations can be higher-risk or harder for our couriers to access β€” our courier partners apply a "high risk" surcharge to deliveries here, which is reflected in this rate.

Free Shipping

Spend R1250.00 or more on a standard order and shipping is free β€” automatically applied at checkout.

Free shipping applies to standard orders only (under 2kg, not fragile, large, or bulky). Orders requiring Special Handling do not qualify, even above R1250. Given the nature of grow equipment, most hardware orders will fall under Special Handling rates regardless of order value.

PUDO Locker Shipping β€” Please Note

PUDO is available for smaller grow shop orders β€” nutrients, small accessories, and similar items β€” that don't contain fragile, large, or bulky products. It is limited to items that fit within a single locker: maximum size 60cm x 41cm x 19cm. Orders over 2kg or containing large/fragile items are not eligible.

Choosing your locker: You are responsible for selecting the correct locker and supplying the correct locker details at checkout. We ship to exactly the locker and details you provide. Skyline Smoke Company is not liable if your order is sent to the wrong locker due to incorrect information. Please double-check your selection before completing your order.

Special Handling Shipping

Applies to orders over 2kg, or orders containing fragile, large, or bulky grow equipment. This covers the majority of grow shop hardware.

Fragile & Heavy (R170 flat rate)

A flat R170.00 nationwide covers fragile items and heavy orders between 2kg and 5kg, ensuring your equipment is packed securely and handled with care throughout transit.

Shipping Deposit (R99) β€” Large, Bulky & Heavy Over 5kg

For large, bulky, or heavy items over 5kg, we charge a R99.00 Shipping Deposit at checkout rather than a fixed rate. This lets us quote you the most accurate, up-to-date courier rate β€” and the deposit is deducted from your final delivery cost.

Here's how it works:

  1. You pay the R99 deposit at checkout and place your order.
  2. We obtain a live delivery quote based on your specific items and location.
  3. If the actual cost exceeds the deposit, we'll hold your order and notify you of the difference.
  4. You can then pay the balance to proceed, or cancel for a full refund.

We reserve the right to adjust quotes for orders sourced from multiple suppliers, oversized items, or deliveries to areas outside standard courier coverage.

In-Store & Own Courier Collection

You're welcome to collect your order in person or arrange your own courier and use even uber collect.

Shipping Insurance

We pack every order carefully to prevent damage in transit, and we cover orders up to R1000.00 in value.

For orders over R1000.00 β€” particularly high-value equipment like lights, tents, and hydroponic systems β€” we strongly recommend arranging insurance, as we are not responsible for loss or damage once your order has been handed to the courier.

Stock Availability

We aim to dispatch all orders within 1–3 working days. Due to the wide range of grow equipment we carry, some products are fulfilled directly from our suppliers or made to order. We strongly recommend confirming availability before ordering, especially for larger equipment.

If a product turns out to be unavailable after your order is placed, we'll offer you an alternative or an immediate refund. If you've already paid, you'll receive a full refund or store credit.

During busy periods, dispatch may take a little longer β€” particularly for made-to-order or supplier-fulfilled equipment. If your order is significantly delayed, we'll reach out by email or phone to keep you updated.
