Vape Shop FAQ

What is vaping?

"Vaping" describes the process of heating a substance until it produces vapor, without burning it as traditional cigarettes do.

Vaping devices typically consist of a mouthpiece, a battery, a cartridge, tank, or pod filled with e-liquid, and a heating element known as an atomizer.

When the device activates, it heats the e-liquid—also known as vape juice or e-juice—producing vapor that is inhaled into the lungs and then exhaled.

Is vaping addictive?

Many e-liquids contain nicotine, a substance known for its addictive properties.

If you're using an e-liquid with nicotine (anything other than 0mg), there's a high chance that your body may begin to crave the effects of nicotine, leading to dependence.

For individuals who already smoke, vaping is often suggested as a less harmful alternative, providing a similar nicotine experience without the combustion risks of smoking.

However, for those without a nicotine dependency, we advise against vaping with nicotine.

Can vaping help you quit smoking?

Vaping can be an effective tool for quitting smoking, offering a healthier alternative to traditional cigarettes.

It allows you to satisfy your nicotine cravings without the harmful toxins produced by burning tobacco.

Plus, vaping is often more affordable and lets you stay social while working toward quitting.

Though vaping is considered significantly less harmful than smoking, long-term research is still limited, so it’s not entirely risk-free.

Is vaping as harmful as smoking cigarettes?

Several studies indicate that vaping poses less risk than traditional cigarette smoking.

A 2015 report from Public Health England (PHE) estimated that vaping is 95% less harmful than smoking, largely because e-liquids do not contain many of the toxic or hazardous chemicals found in cigarettes.

Is vaping deadly?

There have been reports worldwide of fatalities associated with vaping, often amplified by the media.

However, what is frequently left out is that most of these incidents involve individuals who purchased e-liquids or devices from black-market sources or unauthorized vendors.

Why do I experience headaches, coughing, or dry mouth and throat when vaping?

There are several possible reasons for these symptoms.

Headaches may occur if you are vaping excessively or using a high nicotine concentration.

When you vape, nicotine enters your bloodstream, causing blood vessels to constrict, which can reduce blood flow to the brain and lead to headaches.

If you notice this, it might be beneficial to take a short break to restore proper blood flow or switch to a vape with a lower nicotine level.

“Dry mouth” often results from dehydration, as nicotine is known to contribute to this issue, particularly at higher concentrations.

It's essential to stay hydrated by drinking enough water throughout the day while vaping.

Coughing could stem from using e-liquids that are too harsh for you.

Different brands may have varying nicotine levels, and some e-liquids can feel harsher than others.

Additionally, certain flavorings can produce a more intense inhale, potentially triggering a cough.

If this is a concern, consider trying a different nicotine strength or exploring different flavor options.

What ingredients are found in e-liquids/vape juice?

E-liquids are made up of three primary components: Vegetable Glycerin (VG), Propylene Glycol (PG), and food-grade flavorings.

Additionally, nicotine can be included as a fourth ingredient; however, there are also e-liquid options available that contain no nicotine at all.

What is "Saltnic," "Salt Nicotine," or "Nicotine Salts"?

Salt nicotine is a new type of nicotine that occurs naturally in tobacco leaves and offers greater stability.

It includes benzoic acid, which contributes to a smoother vaping experience and enables a quicker nicotine delivery to the lungs.

This faster absorption is a key reason many vapers are transitioning from freebase nicotine to salt nicotine, as the throat hit closely resembles that of smoking a cigarette.

Why isn’t my device working? What might be the issue?

There are several potential reasons why a device may not be functioning properly:

Power is Off: It’s possible that the device is simply not turned on. Sometimes, you might accidentally miss a click while trying to power it up. To ensure it’s on, try pressing the power/fire button five times quickly. A flashing light will usually indicate whether the device is powered on or off.

Burnt-Out or Defective Coil: If your device isn’t firing, it may not be faulty. This issue can arise from a manufacturing defect in the coil or if the coil is heavily burnt out.

Low Battery: We often rush to use our vape without fully charging it, mistakenly thinking there’s a battery issue. Always allow your device to charge for the full recommended time or until the light shows it’s completely charged.

Device Malfunction: If you still can’t get your device to work, please consult one of our sales representatives for assistance.

I recently installed a new coil, and it barely lasted me a day or a week.

There are a few possible explanations for this.

One reason might be improper priming of the coil.

It's essential to prime the entire coil correctly—be careful not to over-prime—and allow it to sit for about 10 minutes to ensure it absorbs the liquid properly.

Additionally, if you vape frequently and take constant puffs, your coil will wear out more quickly.

While flavors like Jelly Beans and Caramel Custard Tart might sound tempting, keep in mind that the sweeter and darker your e-liquids are, the faster they can cause your coils to burn out.

What is dabbing?

Dabbing is a method of consuming cannabis concentrates, like wax, shatter, or resin, by heating them on a hot surface (usually a nail or banger) and inhaling the vapor through a dab rig.

It's a potent option for experienced consumers looking for fast and intense effects, as concentrates have much higher THC levels than traditional cannabis flower.

For beginners, it's essential to start slow, as dabs are strong, and the effects hit quickly.

We carry a variety of high-quality dabbing tools and concentrates, so if you're interested, we can help you find the perfect setup to get started safely!

What is the healthiest way to smoke weed?

When it comes to consuming cannabis in a way that prioritizes health, vaporizing (or vaping) is generally considered one of the healthier methods.

Vaporizers heat cannabis at lower temperatures, releasing cannabinoids and terpenes without the harmful toxins produced by combustion. This avoids some of the respiratory irritation associated with traditional smoking.

For even less impact, consider using a dry herb vaporizer or oils and concentrates specifically designed for vaping, which can deliver a cleaner, more controlled experience.

At Skyline SMoke Shop, we carry a wide variety of Cannabis Vaprizers from Dry Herb Vaporizers, Wax Vaporizers and even all in one Cannabis vaporizers to suit any preference.

What is THC and CBD?

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the primary psychoactive component in cannabis, meaning it’s responsible for the "high" feeling associated with marijuana.

It interacts with receptors in the brain to create those effects, which many people use recreationally or for issues like pain relief, appetite stimulation, and relaxation.

CBD (Cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive, so it doesn’t create a high. Instead, it’s known for its calming, anti-inflammatory, and pain-relieving properties without affecting your mental state.

Many people use CBD for anxiety, inflammation, and general wellness.

What is a blunt wrap?

It’s thicker than rolling paper, offering a slower burn and a richer, fuller flavor that many enthusiasts appreciate.

What is Orgianic Nutrients

Organic nutrients refer to natural substances derived from living organisms that provide essential nutrients to plants.

Unlike synthetic fertilizers, which are chemically manufactured, organic nutrients are made from organic matter.

Organic nutrients promote healthy soil biology and structure, improve water retention, and encourage a sustainable growing environment.

They are particularly popular among gardeners and farmers who prioritize eco-friendly practices and aim to grow healthier plants without relying on synthetic chemicals.

What Are Synthetic Nutrients?

Synthetic nutrients are artificially manufactured fertilizers designed to provide plants with essential nutrients for optimal growth and development.

Unlike organic fertilizers, which are derived from natural sources, synthetic nutrients offer precise formulations of key elements like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.

They work quickly, delivering nutrients directly to the plant and helping to address deficiencies efficiently.

At Skyline Grow Shop, we understand the importance of healthy plants and high-quality yields.

That’s why we offer a wide range of synthetic nutrient products tailored to meet the needs of every grower.

What is pH and EC?

In the world of cultivation, understanding pH (potential hydrogen) and EC (electrical conductivity) is crucial for healthy plant growth.

pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of your growing medium, ranging from 0 to 14. Most plants thrive in a pH range of 5.5 to 7.0, which allows them to effectively absorb essential nutrients. Too high or too low pH levels can lead to nutrient deficiencies or toxicities.

EC, on the other hand, indicates the concentration of dissolved salts in your nutrient solution. It helps gauge the strength of your nutrient solution, ensuring your plants receive the right amount of nutrients without the risk of over-fertilization.

At Skyline Grow Shop, we offer a wide range of products and expert advice to help you monitor and adjust pH and EC levels for optimal plant health.

How many seeds are in a pack?

Each pack of cannabis seeds contains a specific number of seeds based on the pack size:

-Pack = 1 seed

-5 Pack = 5 seeds
-10 Pack = 10 seeds

For example, a 10-pack contains 10 individual seeds, all from the same strain.

What Are Feminized Cannabis Seeds?

Feminized cannabis seeds are specially bred to produce only female plants, which are the ones that yield the coveted buds rich in cannabinoids like THC and CBD.

Unlike regular seeds, which can produce both male and female plants, feminized seeds eliminate the guesswork, ensuring that growers can focus on cultivating high-quality flowers without the risk of unwanted male plants that can pollinate and reduce yields.

At Skyline Seed Bank, we offer a wide selection of feminized cannabis seeds from top breeders. explore our collections and elevate your growing experience today!

What Are Auto Flower Seeds?

Auto flower seeds are a revolutionary type of cannabis seed designed to simplify the growing process.

Unlike traditional photoperiod seeds, which rely on specific light cycles to trigger flowering, auto flowers automatically transition from the vegetative stage to the flowering stage based on age, typically around 2 to 4 weeks after germination.

This means you can enjoy quicker harvests—often in as little as 8 to 10 weeks from seed to harvest!

At Skyline Seed Bank, we offer a diverse selection of high-quality auto flower seeds to suit every grower's needs, discover the convenience and benefits of auto flower seeds!

What are Photoperiod Seeds?

Photoperiod seeds are cannabis seeds that require specific light cycles to flower.

Unlike autoflower seeds, which bloom automatically with age, photoperiod seeds need changes in light exposure—typically 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness—to trigger flowering.

This allows growers more control over plant growth, yielding larger and potentially more potent harvests.

At Skyline Seed Bank, we offer a premium selection of photoperiod seeds to help you achieve the best results.

Whether you’re an expert or a beginner, we are here to support you with top-quality seeds.
