Field Rules
- Mix to final volume first: for 100 ppm, add 200 mL of 500 ppm stock and top up with 800 mL water to make 1L total. Do not add 200 mL stock to 1L water.
- Contact matters: HOCl efficacy depends on residual time, organic load, coverage and contact time. Pre-clean dirty surfaces and keep treated surfaces visibly wet for the label-specified contact time.
- Crop vs. sanitation: crop-contact sites and hard-surface disinfection rates are not interchangeable. Follow the product label/registration for the specific use and jurisdiction.
- Test before scaling: check pH/FAC where appropriate and run a small compatibility test before treating an entire crop, irrigation system or harvest lot.
Dilution and Use
Use only for applications stated on the current manufacturer label. The 500ppm solution must be diluted whenever the label specifies a lower working concentration. Do not rely on unverified foliar or disease-control rates.
Storage and Safety
Keep in the original closed container and store according to the label, protected from heat and direct light. Keep away from children and pets. Do not mix with other chemicals unless the manufacturer expressly permits it.
